the year 2012, began with a PDS workshop for the debate presidents which saw Mr Tawanda Chabata (LSUDS President) attending the four day workshop in Victoria Falls. The workshop equipped the president with the necessary skills to train other debate society members. it created links for the society, broadening the spec of debate in Zimbabwe. All the misconceptions were about debate in zimbabwe were cleared by Mr I.B. Ncube, setting the tone for the growth of debate in Zimbabwe.

Currently, the debate society has embarked on operation, "We Are Going To Germany!!!". This entails that the upcoming ZNDC will be dominated by LSUDS and other Institutions that will help the team be prepared for the competitions in Germany *laughing scornfully*. LSUDS will be participating in Openspace workshops conducted by CAF every friday. All progressive debaters are welcome. For more details on training days, WATCH THE SPACE!
